Installing chat on your website

The website chat widget is included free on every plan and does not take up a paid channel slot.

Step 1. Create the inbox

  1. Open Settings → Inboxes and add an inbox.
  2. Choose Website.
  3. Enter a name and your website address.
  4. Configure the widget's look: colour, greeting, position.
  5. Add agents.

Step 2. Copy the code

Once the inbox exists, the platform shows a code snippet that looks like this:

<script>
  (function(d,t) {
    var BASE_URL="https://online.kulpunai.com";
    var g=d.createElement(t),s=d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0];
    g.src=BASE_URL+"/packs/js/sdk.js";
    g.defer = true;
    g.async = true;
    s.parentNode.insertBefore(g,s);
    g.onload=function(){
      window.kulpunaiSDK.run({
        websiteToken: 'YOUR_TOKEN',
        baseUrl: BASE_URL
      })
    }
  })(document,"script");
</script>

The token is filled in for you — copy the whole snippet from the interface rather than typing it out.

Step 3. Add the code to your site

Place the snippet just before the closing </body> tag on every page.

WordPress

Add it to the theme footer or through a plugin for custom <head>/<body> code.

Tilda

Site settings → More → HTML code inserted inside <body>.

Bitrix, OpenCart, Shopify

Add the snippet to the shared page template (footer) so the widget appears everywhere at once.

Step 4. Test it

Open your site, click the chat icon and send a message. It should appear under Conversations.

If the widget does not appear

  • Confirm the code is on the page and not stripped by caching — clear the site and browser cache;
  • Check the browser console for script loading errors;
  • Make sure your domain is set in the inbox settings.
